9 Job Vacancies at Mkulazi Holding Co. Ltd. Mkulazi Holding Co. Ltd (MHCL) is a company owned by the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and Prisons Corporation Sole (PCS). The Company was established on 6th September 2016. The main objective of the company is to undertake production of sugar in Tanzania.

The company wishes to invite competent, qualified, experienced and dedicated young Tanzanians to fill in the vacancy positions currently available in the company and WOMEN ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO APPLY FOR THESE POSITIONS as follows:

Laboratory Superintendent: Job Purpose: To conduct supervision of factory laboratory, monitor product quality & quality at all stages of production.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Co-ordinates and controls processing activities by ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to standard procedure for brown and refined sugar sampling and analysis;
  2. Directs the recording of all process;
  3. Checks the quality of cane;
  4. Prepares annual operational and capital budgets of the section;
  5. Trains the staff;
  6. Controls budget;
  7. Maintains sound laboratory Procedure;
  8. Performs data monitoring process by conducting all materials and product reconciliations in the process house;
  9. Ensures quality and process;
  10. Controls factory time management;
  11. Ensure that Certificates of Analysis (COA) and Certificate of Compliance (COC) are being produced and distributed and that compositing daily and weekly samples of each certificate is kept for references;
  12. Manages staff and Laboratory machinery/equipment; and
  13. Perform any other lawful duties as may be assigned to him/her.

Academic Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor of Science in Chemical Processing Engineering or equivalent qualification and should have an experience of at least six (6) years’ experience in Sugar processing Industry.

Raw House Incharge: Job Purpose: To supervise Raw House Plant, monitor parameters on all stages of production.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Monitors Juice heating, clarification and evaporation performance;
  2. Ensures good quality Massecuites are produced by closely supervising the pan boilers;
  3. Performs centrifugal station sugar planning;
  4. Monitor, control and focus on achieving brown sugar colour, turbidity and conductivity of required specs;
  5. Prepare, compile and control raw house plant budgetary parameters;
  6. Enhance Technology practices in raw house plant section;
  7. Focus on achievement of Safety Health and Environment and Sugar quality accreditations;
  8. Focus on minimum operating practices at every raw house stage so as to minimize losses;
  9. Conduct in – service training to operators, pan boilers and on proper cleaning and daily maintenance of equipment / machines on the refinery plant; and
  10. Performs any other duty as may be assigned

Academic Qualifications and Experience:

Diploma in Food Processing or equivalent qualification and should have an experience of at least six(6)years’ experience in Sugar Processing.

Manufacturing Chemist/Shift Superintendent:

Job Purpose: Liaises with Laboratory Superintendent, Raw House In charge, Refinery In charge and Warehouse in charge on when to start the Production exercise under the prevailing circumstances:

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Performs boiling house planning for both refinery and raw houses by ensuring efficient operations;
  2. Makes good use of steam by ensuring that machines are operating efficiently and steam generations is adequate to production of both brown and refined sugar at time;
  3. Communicates on all incidents;
  4. Assists all employees during maintenance day;
  5. Trouble shoots pans, evaporators pumps; and
  6. Performs any other duty as may be assigned.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise the refinery plant operations professionally and effectively in the process section;
  2. Ensures good quality massecuites are produced;
  3. Performs centrifugal station sugar melting plan;
  4. Monitors melt clarification and decolonization performance;
  5. Supervises pan boilers;

Auto-Electrician: He/She will be reporting to maintenance Supervisor-Auto electrician.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Carries out auto electrical repairs according to manufacturer’s specification;
  2. Repairs electrical/electronic breakdowns including major breakdowns to company fleet and standby generators;
  3. Submits spares requirement to workshop auto electric Charge hand;
  4. Cares for all tools, service equipment, compressors, etc. in the workshop;
  5. Carries out alternate electrical service to vehicles/tractor generators/mobile irrigation pumps as per schedule;
  6. Maintains a clean working environment with proper housekeeping;
  7. Does physical checkup and report any deviation/damage to company property; and
  8. Performs any other related duty that may be assigned by superiors.

Academic Qualifications and Experience:

Form IV with trade test certificate grade II in Auto electrician and should be above 3 years’ experience as an Auto Electrician.

Electrical Technician:

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Rectifies electrical faults;
  2. Supervises subordinates;

Planning Officer (Planning and Research Officer): Job Purpose is to assist in facilitating preparation and implementation of the Company’s Corporate Strategy, Annual Budgets monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the company plans, programs, projects and general operations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Advise the Management on matters related to Planning and Strategy Development;
  2. Coordinate the formulation and preparation of Strategic and Annual Business Plan;
  3. Provide technical support for institutionalization of Strategic Planning and Budgeting matters;
  4. Prepare periodic reports on development and implementation of prepared plans from all Departments and Units;

Workshop and Transport Logistics Manager: Job purpose is to undertake general maintenance of Agricultural Machines, and all types of vehicles and sustainably manage its

  1. Managing the overall function of the Mechanics Workshop;
  2. Manage planned preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance on all of the company’s vehicles;

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Provide inputs in the formulation of risks framework and develop procedures to identify and address risks in the organization;
  2. A conduct risk assessment which involves analyzing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business;
