The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) advertised 1,596 job vacancies in various fields from 06 to 19 February, 2025, where TRA carefully reviewed all applications received and found 112,952 job applicants who met the criteria set and were therefore eligible to be called for a written interview which was held from 29 to 30 March, 2025.
After the Written Interview, the results of the written interview are now out , with the list released on 26th April 2025.
Earlier this month When Speaking about the TRA recruitment process on 02.04.2025, the Director of Human Resources Management and Administration, Mr. Moshi Jonathan Kabengwe, said that after the names are announced. on 02 to 04 May, Practical Interviews will be held for Drivers and Office Clerks.
He said that after the Practical Interviews, there will be Interviews for other cadres which will be held for three days from 07 to 09 May, 2025 where those who succeed in the Interview will be notified on 18.05.2025 and will begin Orientation Training on 22.05.2025 until 02.06.2025 when they will be hired and officially start work.
Mr. Kabengwe explained that in the interview process, the number of applications that met the criteria was 112,952, an increase of 71 applications after the appeal was rejected, bringing the total number of applications to 113,023, involving 86,314 applicants, and those who underwent written interviews were 78,544 applicants, equivalent to 91 percent of all applicants, and 7,770 applicants, equivalent to 9 percent, did not attend the interview for various reasons.
He explained that TRA’s policy is equal employment for all and the jobs advertised will take into account the qualifications and criteria of the job applicant regardless of the status of the applicant, whether he is a child of the poor, a child of a leader or a child of a public servant, which is why interview centers were set up in 8 regions and Zanzibar to bring services closer.

The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) wishes to inform successful candidates selected to participate in the Oral and and practical interviews that the full official schedule for the interviews will be released on April 29, 2025 through the Authority’s website.
