BACKGROUND: The National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) is a Parastatal Organization established by an Act of Parliament No. 23 of 1979 (CAP.59, R.E.2002) and became operational in 1980. Mabibo Traditional Medicine Research and Development Centre (TMRDC) is one of the NIMR Centres located in Dar es Salaam, at Mabibo external along Mandela Road. The Centre has established a modern herbal product manufacturing facility to manufacture various herbal products. The Centre is looking for qualified, experienced, and well-motivated personnel to fill the following vacant position whose duty station will be in Dar es Salaam.

JOB POSITION: (2 POSTS) for pharmaceutical technicians

JOB POSITION: (1 Post) For Sales and Marketing officer

REPORTING: CENTRE MANAGER- NIMR MABIBO

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNICIAN

  1. Handling of raw materials and finished products
  2. Participate in the production of pharmaceutical products
  • Carry out quality control and quality assurance assessment of materials and finished products
  1. Maintain manufacturing and quality control records
  2. Perform any other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

Holder of a Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution. Must have successfully completed one (1) year internship and enrolled by the Pharmacy Council.

TERMS:

One (1) year contract may be renewed based on performance and mutual agreement.

COMPENSATION:

Salary will be offered as per the Government Scheme.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SALES AND MARKETING OFFICER

  • Contributing to the development of marketing strategies.
  • Designing and implementing marketing plans for institute products.
  • Working with the sales team to develop targeted sales strategies.
  • Answering client queries about product specifications and uses.
  • Maintaining client relations.
  • Tracking sales data to ensure the institute meets sales quotas.
  • Creating and presenting sales performance reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Holder of a Bachelor’s in Sales and Marketing Management from a recognized institution. Experience in sales and marketing will be an added advantage.

TERMS:

  • One (1) year contract may be renewed based on performance and mutual agreement.
