Digital Sales Representatives – (Tanga & Mbeya)

Mwananchi Communications Limited (MCL), a subsidiary of Nation Media Group (NMG), is Tanzania’s largest independent news network with an award-winning presence in both print and digital media. We are a market-driven, audience-led organization, committed to empowering the nation through our national news brands, including Mwananchi, The Citizen, and Mwanaspoti, available in print and digital formats.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Digital Sales Representatives for the Tanga & Mbeya regions.

PURPOSE:

The role focuses on increasing digital subscriptions and circulation sales by developing strategies to attract and engage customers. The ideal candidates will have a passion for digital media, strong sales skills, and a customer-centric mindset.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase circulation and digital reach across various platforms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Promote Mwananchi’s digital products, including e-papers, mobile apps, Nation ePaper, EGazeti web platforms, and online subscription services.
• Track and report on sales performance, including meeting and exceeding monthly sales targets.
• Provide insights on customer feedback to improve product offerings and customer experience.
• Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing and editorial, to execute successful digital campaigns.
• Monitor industry trends and competitors to stay ahead in the digital subscription market.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Academic: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Marketing/Sales/Business Administration or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Additional Qualifications:
  • Possession of a Smartphone.
  • Preferably residing in the respective area applied for.
