Job Title: IT Support Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Support Officer with a strong understanding of IT systems and technical support. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive IT assistance across both office and factory environments, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, printers, and network devices (LAN/Wi-Fi).
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, connectivity problems, and system errors across office and factory operations.
• Provide end-user support and guidance on IT systems and applications.
• Manage user accounts, email configurations, and access permissions.
• Perform routine data backups and ensure data security and integrity.
• Support and maintain ERP or inventory management systems, including updates and data accuracy.
• Set up and manage shared drives or cloud storage solutions for secure and efficient team collaboration.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and coordinate timely repair of IT equipment.
• Analyze system and data reports to identify bottlenecks and recommend operational improvements.
• Work closely with operations and logistics teams to resolve discrepancies in stock records, dispatch delays, and routing issues.
• Maintain detailed documentation of IT processes, support tickets, and issue resolutions.
• Provide regular reports and updates to management on IT performance and system reliability.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Basic knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, and system administration.
• Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems is an added advantage.
• Willingness to relocate to Mtwara.
