Assistant Maintenance Officer at Farm Of Dreams Lodge – Karatu, Arusha

NEW OPPORTUNITY AT FARM OF DREAMS LODGE!

We are seeking a responsible and experienced individual to fill the following position:

POSITION: Assistant Maintenance Officer (1 post)

REPORTING TO: Maintenance Officer

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform all maintenance duties during the absence of the Maintenance Officer.
• Assist the Maintenance Officer with daily inspections of the lodge to ensure it meets safety standards.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Officer to find ways to reduce maintenance costs at the lodge.
• Communicate with the Maintenance Officer about all maintenance issues at the lodge.
• Ensure all company properties, such as the generator, laundry machines, and water pumps, are in good condition.
• Track inventory and order materials for both routine and emergency work.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints related to maintenance, ensuring professional and efficient service.
• Perform timely, high-quality repairs to various lodge systems and equipment, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
• Help develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to ensure all plant and machinery operate optimally.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory management.

Education and Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance activities.
• Must have a certificate or diploma in maintenance from VETA or any other recognized college.
• Strong knowledge of various machines and equipment.
• Must have knowledge of electrical (3-phase) and plumbing systems.
• At least 3 years of driving experience.
• A valid driving license (Class C).
