JOB VACANCY: GEOLOGIST – NYATI CEMENT / LAKE CEMENT LTD.

NYATI CEMENT / LAKE CEMENT LTD. is announcing an opportunity for qualified Tanzanian nationals to fill the position of GEOLOGIST.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma in Exploration and Mining Geology/Geology.
• 4-6 years of experience in opencast mine geology.
• Knowledge of geological survey software.
• Ability to read and create maps.
• Familiarity with government mining regulations.
• Experience in mine planning.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure health, safety, and environmental procedures are followed.
• Responsible for allocated job tasks.
• Maintain documentation and provide weekly MIS reports.
• Monitor land records, legal documents, and geological data.
• Handle unplanned work.
• Execute plans and procure as per SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).
• Inspect lands.
• Focus on self-skill development.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Fluency in English for communication and correspondence.
• Hands-on experience in applied geology and mine planning.
• Proficiency in mine planning software.
• Positive attitude and high integrity.
