Invitation for tenders: Proposed construction of a new learning hub by HIMSO

HIMSO is excited to announce an opportunity for contractors to participate in the tendering process for the design and construction of a new Learning Hub, funded by a grant from Bread for the World (BftW). Below are the key details for interested and eligible tenderers.

Project overview HIMSO has received a grant from Bread for the World (BftW) to finance the Proposed Construction of a New Learning Hub. Part of this grant will be used to cover eligible payments under the contract for this project, identified as Tender No. HIMSO/2025/T/002, dated October 10, 2025.

Tender eligibility and requirements

  • HIMSO invites tenders from contractors who are registered or capable of being registered in Contractor Classes 5 to 7.
  • Contractors will be responsible for both the design and construction of the HIMSO Learning Hub.
  • The tendering process will follow the National Shopping procurement method as outlined in the Public Procurement Regulations, Government Notice No. 518 of 2024, and is open to all tenderers as defined in these regulations.
  • Contractors must provide a Performance Security equal to 10% of the contract sum. This security can be in the form of a Bank Guarantee or a Bond from a reputable local surety (such as a Bank, Guarantee Society, or Insurance Company) acceptable to HIMSO. The contractor will also bear the cost of necessary stamp duties.

  • A complete set of tendering documents in English is available for download from these platforms.
  • All tenders must be properly filled out and submitted via email to info@himso.or.tz by 11:00 AM on October 30, 2025.
  • Tenders will be opened promptly after the submission deadline in the presence of tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend.
  • Tenders not received at the specified email address before the deadline will not be accepted for evaluation, regardless of the circumstances.
