Job Title: HSE Supervisor – Chemical Manufacturing
Location: Mkuranga / Mkiu, Tanzania
Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced HSE Supervisor to oversee and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards at our chemical manufacturing site. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with statutory regulations, promote a strong safety culture, and drive continuous improvement in HSE performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures and compliance on-site.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide HSE training, inductions, and toolbox talks for employees and contractors.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with legal and company standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records as required by regulatory bodies and company policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3–5 years of proven experience in HSE management within a chemical or hazardous materials environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, ISO 45001, and environmental regulations.
- Certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-risk industrial setting.
