Job Title: Jaza Star Recruitment and Training Officer
About the Job
The Jaza Star Recruitment and Training Officer is responsible for overseeing the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new Jaza Star agents for new expansion sites. The role ensures that all recruitment and training processes are efficiently executed, meeting company standards and expansion targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that open Jaza Star positions for new expansion sites are advertised extensively through appropriate channels.
- Monitor candidate interest and ensure the number of applicants meets the criteria required for interviews and training.
- Make all necessary arrangements for interviews and training at each expansion site.
- Conduct interviews, classroom training, and on-site training sessions for potential Jaza Star recruits.
- Identify key training areas for recruits and provide recommendations to improve training materials.
- Ensure that all onboarding procedures for new recruits are completed, including:
- Registering recruits on the Dashboard and setting up their accounts on the Star App.
- Requesting employment agreements from the HR department, ensuring signing and submission for filing.
- Updating the Jaza Star registry with all new recruit details.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Community Development, Psychology, Sociology, Human Resources, or any other related field.
- Proven experience in rural outreach, recruitment, and training roles.
- Strong ability to leverage local networks, community connections, and local job boards for candidate sourcing.
- Demonstrated capacity to position the company as an attractive local employer.
- Skilled in developing tailored recruitment strategies and training guides for rural candidates.
- Experience in conducting in-person interviews and training sessions.
- Ability to evaluate candidates for both technical competence and cultural fit within rural community environments.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities to manage full recruitment cycles in resource-limited areas.
- Effective problem-solving skills to address recruitment challenges such as limited candidate pools or extended timelines.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to foster trust within close-knit communities.
- Familiarity with local languages or dialects is a significant advantage.
- Willingness and ability to work independently and travel frequently to remote locations.
