About NIDA
NIDA stands for the National Identification Authority (Mamlaka ya Vitambulisho vya Taifa) in Tanzania. It is the official government institution responsible for the registration and identification of all eligible residents in the country. Its core function is to establish and manage a National Population Register and issue National Identification Cards (NIDA Cards) and National Identification Numbers (NINs)
