This role reports to the Revenue Growth and Trade Marketing Director and presents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic insights professional to shape strategic decisions and drive growth across the Tanzanian market.


Job Purpose

The Country Lead: Market Insights will generate actionable insights, drive data-based decision-making, and support the development of pricing, category, and reporting strategies that enable CCBA to meet its commercial and growth objectives.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Actionable Market Insights

  • Deliver high-quality market insights that influence key business decisions across multiple functions.
  • Provide specialist knowledge on consumer, shopper, and market trends to support strategy execution.

2. Research and Data Management

  • Ensure timely availability and accuracy of syndicated data and research reports.
  • Identify research needs, lead studies, and manage customer, competitor, and category analyses.
  • Maintain strong data integrity to support strategic and operational insights.

3. Pricing Strategy Development

  • Support the creation of short-, medium-, and long-term pricing strategies.
  • Use econometric modeling and market intelligence to ensure pricing aligns with business goals and market realities.

4. Category Development

  • Build and manage data platforms for category interaction.
  • Lead category development initiatives that support sales execution and distribution performance.

5. Country-Level Reporting & Performance Management

  • Lead development of performance dashboards and reports that track key KPIs at a national level.
  • Provide insights that enable quick strategic and tactical adjustments.
  • Ensure stakeholders can easily monitor performance against revenue and growth objectives.

Skills, Experience & Education

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, or a related field.

Experience

  • 6–8 years of experience in market insights, consumer research, or market knowledge leadership.
  • Proven experience in managing syndicated data, category insights, and research programs.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of consumer, shopper, and market insights.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and convert it into actionable business tactics.
  • Skilled in developing dashboards, managing syndicated reports, and building data platforms.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to assess business performance and provide strategic recommendations based on market and competitor analysis.
  • Credible, influential, and able to work effectively across both direct and indirect teams.
