Senior Marketing Research, Analytics, and Consumer Insights Manager

Job Purpose
Responsible for enabling data-driven decision-making by analyzing market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor strategies. This role plays a central part in optimizing marketing campaigns, identifying business opportunities, forecasting customer needs, and ensuring marketing efforts align with industry trends. By leveraging data analytics, market research, and digital insights, the manager helps the Bank remain competitive and maximize marketing ROI.
Main Responsibilities
1. Marketing Research & Analytics
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, growth opportunities, and competitive landscapes.
- Analyze consumer behavior, purchase patterns, and engagement metrics to refine marketing strategies.
- Gather and interpret data from surveys, social media, website analytics, CRM systems, and industry reports.
- Develop detailed reports, dashboards, and insights to support data-driven decisions.
- Monitor competitor strategies, pricing models, and customer feedback to improve market positioning.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to optimize campaign targeting and messaging.
- Utilize tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, Excel, and CRM platforms.
- Forecast market trends and consumer preferences to guide future marketing initiatives.
- Provide actionable insights to support customer acquisition, engagement, and business growth.
- Stay updated on advancements in marketing technology, AI-driven analytics, and data tools.
2. Consumer Insights
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to assess consumer preferences, trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Design and execute surveys capturing customer views on products, promotions, and branding.
- Develop detailed target consumer profiles, including needs, motivations, and pain points.
- Moderate focus groups, interviews, and analyze qualitative findings.
- Present insights to senior management through compelling reports and visual presentations.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance market research and insight generation.
3. Data Analysis
- Analyze data from surveys, social media, CRM systems, and sales reports to identify patterns and opportunities.
- Monitor competitor performance and strategic movements to identify strengths and threats.
- Anticipate future consumer behaviors and market shifts.
- Use analytics tools and technologies to streamline data analysis and insight generation.
4. Brand Monitoring
- Track brand mentions, sentiment, and reputation across online and offline channels.
- Manage brand health, brand lift, and equity trackers, synthesizing results into clear narratives.
- Segment consumer groups based on demographics, psychographics, and behavior.
- Measure customer satisfaction and loyalty using surveys and feedback tools.
- Provide insights for product development and innovation to ensure market relevance.
5. Marketing Strategy
- Collaborate with marketing teams to design effective, insight-driven marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, consumer protection, and marketing regulations.
- Lead the end-to-end creation of insights presentations, including storyline development and board-level material preparation.
- Manage research and insights budgets efficiently.
Knowledge and Skills
Marketing & Business Knowledge
- Understanding of banking products, customer segments, and financial services marketing.
- Brand management principles and lifecycle strategy.
- Knowledge of advertising and media planning (traditional and digital).
- Strong understanding of digital ecosystems, customer journey design, and marketing automation.
- Familiarity with regulatory and ethical guidelines in financial marketing.
Technical Skills
- Experience in data analytics, visualization, and insight generation.
- Proficiency in dashboards and storytelling tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel).
- Knowledge of statistical and predictive modeling tools (SPSS, SAS, Python, Adobe Analytics).
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Actuarial Science.
- Master’s degree (MBA or MSc in Marketing or Digital Strategy) is an added advantage.
- Professional certification in Product or Digital Marketing is an added advantage.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in Marketing, preferably in retail banking or financial services.
- Experience in business operations, analytics, and data visualization is desired.
- Experience with statistical techniques, predictive modeling, and digital analytics tools.
- Proven experience producing high-quality dashboards and executive-level reports.
