Role Purpose

The Network Performance Specialist holds overall accountability for Network Performance across all technologies on modernized and swapped sites. The role focuses on ensuring network quality, performance optimization, and compliance with internal, regulatory, and group performance standards.


Key Accountabilities & Decision Ownership

  • Maintain overall accountability for network performance across all radio technologies.
  • Review Single Site Verification (SSV) reports submitted by vendors as part of site acceptance.
  • Ensure EPOCA KPI targets are achieved during cluster drive tests and reporting.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory and Vodafone Group Network Performance reports.
  • Develop and maintain KPI trackers covering all Radio Network performance elements.
  • Ensure best-practice network features are implemented in line with EWL standards.
  • Manage end-to-end (E2E) network incidents, including outages and KPI degradation, with thorough root cause analyses (RCAs).
  • Proactively identify gaps in project delivery impacting network quality and ensure consistent reporting.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to deliver targeted network quality outcomes.
  • Conduct RAN parameter audits and reconcile KPI performance.
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints related to network performance.

Core Competencies, Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills, particularly in interpreting and acting on KPIs.
  • Excellent programming and data analysis skills.
  • Proven ability to proactively detect and troubleshoot network faults.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with TCRA, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement.

Technical & Professional Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in telecommunications or a related technical role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or an equivalent discipline.
  • Strong analytical capability and business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing and big data technologies is an added advantage.
  • Project management knowledge and experience is advantageous.
