The Core Mission

The Farm Operations Manager is expected to treat the farm as the “heart and soul” of the property. This involves:

  1. Production: Supplying high-quality organic produce, flowers, and livestock to the lodge’s kitchen.

  2. Sustainability: Acting as a living showcase of organic practices and animal welfare.

  3. Guest Experience: Creating an educational and visually stunning environment for guests to tour and enjoy.


 Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Innovation

  • Drive new agricultural methods and technologies in fruit, vegetable, and livestock production.

  • Implement strategies to diversify crops and increase sustainability.

  • Mentor the three sub-department managers to foster a culture of excellence.

Operations & Hospitality

  • Aesthetic Standards: Keep the farm visually outstanding for guest tours.

  • Collaboration: Work with the culinary (kitchen) team to align production with seasonal menus.

  • Storytelling: Partner with guest-facing teams to design farm-based experiences and tours.

Management & Compliance

  • Financials: Oversee and optimize farm budgets and resources for maximum impact.

  • Data-Driven: Analyze production and financial data to prepare actionable reports.

  • Compliance: Ensure all health, safety, and environmental regulations are met.


✅ Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Experience: Proven leadership in managing complex, multi-disciplinary agricultural operations.

  • Education: Formal degree or training in Agriculture, Animal Science, Agronomy, or a related field.

  • Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in organic farming and animal welfare standards.

  • Communication: Ability to persuade management, guide staff, and engage with international guests.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to turn operational data into measurable improvements.
