Role Overview: Manager – Project Management Office (PMO)
The Manager of PMO at Coop Bank Tanzania Plc is a strategic role responsible for building and scaling the bank’s project delivery framework. You will ensure that digital, regulatory, and operational transformations align with the bank’s mission to serve cooperatives and unbanked populations.

Key Responsibilities & Strategic Focus

Strategic Leadership: Defining the PMO operating model and fostering a culture of disciplined delivery.

Portfolio Oversight: Managing budgets, milestones, and risks for all enterprise-wide projects.

Governance: Ensuring every project meets Tanzanian financial regulations and passes internal audit/risk reviews.

Agile Transformation: Leading the shift toward modern delivery practices, including Agile and DevOps.

Financial Stewardship: Monitoring multi-million dollar budgets and driving cost optimization.
Candidate Profile: Requirements & Skills
| Category | Requirements |
| Education | Bachelor’s in Business/Project Management; Master’s Degree (MBA/MSc) required. |
| Certifications | PMP, Prince2, SAFe, or AgilePM. |
| Experience | 5+ years in Banking/Financial Services (3 years in Senior Leadership). |
| Technical Expertise | Managing complex transformations (Digital, Core Platforms, Regulatory). |
| Soft Skills | Emotional Intelligence, Strategic Thinking, and Decision-making under uncertainty. |
