About the Role:
ESRF is seeking a dynamic Communications Officer to enhance the Foundation’s visibility, outreach, and impact by managing communication strategies that effectively disseminate research outputs, policy dialogues, and capacity-building initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Support development and implementation of ESRF’s communications strategy
Coordinate internal and external communications across the Foundation
Manage branding, publications, and visibility materials
Produce newsletters, press releases, and media content
Strengthen media relations and monitor coverage
Manage website, social media, and digital platforms
Create digital content (photo, video, graphics, podcasts)
Support event management, livestreaming, and documentation
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, Marketing, or related field (Master’s is an advantage)
Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience
Strong digital communication and social media skills
Excellent writing and editing skills in English and Kiswahili
