EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

1.0  INTRODUCTION

Jumla Africa is the exclusive Tanzania distributor of Cobley tractors and implement. Cobley is a leading tractor brand and specifically designed Africa farms. Cobley tractors has the widest distribution network in Tanzania: Tractors can be purchased from any of Jumla Africa’s 16 distribution points.

2.0  POSITION: SALES EXECUTIVE (AGRI-MACHINERY SALES) – 2 POSTS

We are looking for a motivated Sales Officer to promote and sell agricultural machinery. The role involves identifying customers, conducting product demos, and meeting sales targets while supporting farmers with suitable mechanization solutions.

3.0  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Drive sales of agricultural machinery (tractors, planters, sprayers, harrow, etc.) within assigned territories.
2. Identify and engage prospective customers including individual farmers, cooperatives, and agro-dealers.
3. Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical support to clients.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business.
5. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities.
6.  Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
7. Collaborate with the technical, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
8. Prepare and submit regular sales reports and forecasts.

4.0 QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Mechanical Engineering, Sales & Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, preferably in agricultural machinery or equipment.
• Sound understanding of agricultural practices and machinery operations.
• Proficient in customer engagement, negotiation, and closing sales.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Technical aptitude for demonstrating machinery features and benefits.

POSITION: SENIOR  AGRI- MACHINERY TECHNICIAN – 2 POST

Supervising Mechanical team Agri machinery team and. Ensure the repairs are Performed timely and efficiently.

3.0  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. 1. Able to identify and list spare parts that are required for the repairs in a spare part catalogue.
   2. Read & understanding equipment operating & repair manuals and execute the works as per manufacturer’s instructions.
   3. Diagnose and repair tractors, planters, harvesters, sprayers, irrigation pumps, and other farm equipment’s
   4. Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and calibration of machinery as per the manufacturer’s recommendations.
   5. Fully understanding equipment system operation” such as power train, engine, transmission, hydraulics, brakes, electrics, and monitoring systems.
   6. Disassemble and reassemble equipment accessories and components.
   7. Ensuring that all items such as technical and machine information, hours spent on repairs Maintenance is properly recorded and filed.
   8. Will be requested as and when required to coach, guide & train mechanics
   9. Perform any other related duties as may be assigned.

4.0 QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field. 
• At least 4 – 6 years working experience in agricultural machinery maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Strong super visionary and leadership skills
• Effective communication skill both written and oral.
• Able to use initiative in prioritizing tasks.
• A computer literate especially on Excel, Word and fleet Management.

LOCATION: Arusha, Tanzania

JOB SUMMARY.

To design and develop visually compelling web and graphic content that supports the company’s brand identity and digital presence. This role combines creativity with technical skills to enhance user experience across all digital platforms.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

1. Design and maintain company websites and landing pages.
2. Ensure websites are user-friendly, responsive, and optimized for speed and search engine optimization.
3. Update web content and troubleshoot technical issues.
4. Create visual assets for print and digital use (e.g., brochures, banners, presentations, infographics, social media content).
5. Maintain consistency with the company’s branding across all materials.
6. Collaborate with internal teams on campaign designs.
7. Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and ICT teams on design requirements.
8. Assist with internal communication design needs (e.g., newsletters, reports).

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

• Diploma/Degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proficiency in design tools: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, or Canva.
• Strong HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript knowledge.
• Portfolio showcasing relevant design work.
• Good time management and attention to detail.
