DOCG is hiring: Assistant Accountant

📍 Location: Dar-es-Salaam (Candidates must be based in Dar-es-Salaam)
📅 Deadline: 10th April 2025
Key Responsibilities:
✔️ Support in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and month-end close
✔️ Oversee the management of invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations
✔️ Monitor and assist in the reconciliation of general ledger accounts
✔️ Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
✔️ Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and relevant regulations
✔️ Liaise with external auditors and stakeholders during audits
✔️ Provide support to junior team members in day-to-day accounting tasks
✔️ Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (construction/project experience a plus)
CPA qualification is an added advantage
Familiarity with Tanzania tax law and Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) regulations
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, SAP)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
