The Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences (CUHAS), owned by the Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC), is located at Bugando, Mwanza. The university currently trains over 3,500 students across various medical and health-related disciplines and is seeking highly qualified and motivated individuals to fill the following positions.
1. Management & Administrative Roles
Bursar (Department of Finance)

Post: 1
-
Purpose: To provide leadership in strategic planning, budgeting, financial reporting, and effective management of financial resources.

Requirements:
-
Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
-
Professional accountancy qualification: CPA (T), ACCA, or equivalent.
-
Minimum of six years’ work experience in a similar position (preferably in higher learning).
-
Expert knowledge in international accounting and integrated IT accounting systems (e.g., Sage).
-
Director of Information and Communications Technology (ICT)
-
Purpose: To plan, coordinate, and develop the provision of information services technology to meet the University’s academic and administrative objectives.

Requirements:
-
Master’s degree in Computer Sciences, IT, Data Management, or equivalent.
-
Minimum of three years’ work experience in a similar position.
-
Certifications like CCNA, MCSD, or MCSE are an added advantage.
-
Experience in WAN/LAN network management and IT project management.

2. Academic & Teaching Roles

Master of Medicine (MMed) or equivalent.

GPA of 4.0 and above (or B+ average) for Master’s degree.

GPA of 3.5 and above for Undergraduate studies.

Must be registered by the respective Council/Board.

Assistant Lecturer – Pharmaceutical Microbiology

Requirements: Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Microbiology or Clinical Microbiology and Diagnostic Molecular Biology; GPA of 4.0 (Master’s) and 3.5 (Undergraduate).
School of Public Health Positions

Lecturer (Community Medicine/Environmental & Occupational Health): 1 Post. Requires PhD and Master’s in relevant field.

Assistant Lecturer (Epidemiology and Biostatistics): 1 Post. Requires Master’s in Biostatistics/Applied Statistics/Epidemiology.
Archbishop Anthony Mayala School of Nursing

Lecturer (Clinical Nursing): 1 Post. Requires PhD and Master’s Degree in Nursing.
Tutors (Institute of Allied Health Sciences)

Posts: 6 (Medical Laboratory Sciences: 1, Pharmaceutical Sciences: 1, Diagnostic Radiography: 4).

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field with a score of at least B in the relevant subject and a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
