Career Opportunity: Civil Engineer (2 Positions) at Daqing Oilfield Construction Group Co., Ltd. (DOCG)
Daqing Oilfield Construction Group Co., Ltd. (DOCG), the main contractor for the Marine Terminal and Tanks under the EACOP Project, is seeking two qualified and highly motivated Civil Engineers to join our dynamic construction team in Tanga, Tanzania.
This position is open to Tanzanian Nationals Only.
About the Role
We are looking for experienced Civil Engineers to provide on-site supervision and management of all civil and structural works. These roles are critical to ensuring project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations are strictly met. The successful candidates must be prepared to start ASAP.
Key Responsibilities
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Supervising and managing all civil and structural works on the construction site.
- Reviewing design drawings and ensuring precise, high-quality implementation.
- Coordinating effectively with subcontractors to ensure adherence to technical specifications.
- Monitoring daily construction progress, quality assurance, and safety performance.
- Preparing detailed technical reports and communicating updates to project management.
- Ensuring strict compliance with all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience on large-scale construction projects (experience in the oil & gas sector is preferred).
- Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of construction practices, including concrete, earthworks, and structural design.
- Soft Skills: Demonstrated strong leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Professional Registration: Registration with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) or an equivalent professional board is a distinct advantage.
