Job Summary:
Majengo Children’s Home (MCH) is seeking a reliable and compassionate driver to transport children and staff safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will prioritize safety, have excellent driving skills, and be a positive role model for the children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport children and staff to and from home, medical appointments, activities, and other destinations.
• Ensure proper use of seat belts and child safety restraints.
• Maintain cleanliness and regular maintenance of the vehicle.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Assist children and staff in and out of the vehicle when necessary.
• Report any incidents, accidents, or delays promptly.
• To perform any other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Valid Class C or E driving license.
• Completion of a one-year basic driving course.
• At least one year of driving experience without causing accidents.
• Strong knowledge of road safety and navigation.
• Fluent in both English and Swahili (verbal communication skills).
• Maintenance/mechanics skills are an added advantage.
• Previous experience driving children or working in a child-focused environment is preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, compassion, and understanding when working with children.
