🌱 JOB VACANCY: Eco-Organic Farm Teacher/Manager
Location: Watoto Foundation, Usa River, Arusha, Tanzania
Deadline: 21st July 2025

Watoto Foundation Tanzania is looking for a dedicated, experienced, and passionate Eco-Organic Farm Teacher/Manager (age 30–40) to lead the growth and operation of our 7.5-acre eco-organic farm in a fully irrigated and scenic environment. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact by promoting sustainable farming and training future generations.

Key Responsibilities

·         Train and teach staff (former students and external groups)

·         Establish and manage an eco-organic farm using sustainable, regenerative practices

·         Oversee crop planning, soil health, irrigation, and pest control

·         Supervise and mentor staff and students in organic farming techniques

·         Maintain farm records using computer software

·         Promote environmental conservation and long-term soil fertility

·         Collaborate with other departments to support the foundation’s mission

Minimum Qualifications

·         Diploma or higher in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field

·         Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in organic/sustainable farming

·         Strong leadership and team management skills

·         Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and email

·         Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

·         High initiative, integrity, and a strong work ethic

·         Added advantage: Residing near Usa River or willing to live at the Foundation’s teacher accommodation
