Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Head of Sales to lead our sales department and drive the implementation of strategic sales initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee the development and execution of sales plans, manage a team of professionals, and ensure alignment with the company’s business objectives. This role requires strong leadership, market insight, and a proven track record in driving revenue growth within a competitive business environment.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the company’s sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Define and enforce sales policies, procedures, and standards to ensure operational excellence.
  • Approve all sales budgets and plans, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure business objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

Team Management

  • Lead, motivate, and guide the sales team to meet and exceed individual and departmental sales targets.
  • Set clear weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals, ensuring they are realistic and achievable.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of sales personnel.
  • Monitor sales performance and ensure continuous professional development of the team.

Business Development and Client Relations

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, generate leads, and expand the client base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to promote products and services.
  • Coordinate with the marketing department to develop effective sales campaigns and promotional strategies.

Operational Excellence

  • Assign sales team members to specific company accounts and oversee account management activities.
  • Review and analyze sales reports to monitor progress and identify improvement areas.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, monitor competitor activity, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Lead cross-functional teams — including project managers, product designers, and technical experts — in developing tailored client solutions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay informed about market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sales.
  • Regularly attend industry workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance expertise.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and high performance within the sales team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a senior management role within an international commercial organization.
  • A postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
  • Proven ability to lead teams to achieve and surpass sales targets.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • High level of personal integrity, professionalism, and understanding of good corporate governance principles.
