JOB VACANCY: HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER FOR WORKSHOP

Location: Sumwood Furniture, Ngaramtoni, Arusha, Tanzania

Industry: Indoor & Outdoor Furniture Manufacturing

About Us:

We are Sumwood Furniture, manufacturers of high-quality indoor and outdoor furniture. Our workshop is located in Ngaramtoni, Arusha, and we are looking for a qualified and dedicated Human Resource Officer to manage and oversee the HR needs of our workshop.

Position: Human Resource Officer (Workshop)

Key Responsibilities:

– Oversee and manage employee relations within the workshop.

– Handle recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff.

– Monitor staff attendance, performance, and welfare.

– Ensure compliance with labor laws and safety regulations.

– Implement employee development programs and performance appraisals.

– Manage payroll, leave schedules, and disciplinary actions as needed.

– Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

– Must be 30 years or older.

– Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field.

– Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resource Management, preferably in a workshop or industrial setting.

– Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to handle multiple HR functions in a fast-paced environment. 2
