Sales Manager Job Vacancy at Outstanding Solutions.
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Sales Manager. The Sales Manager is a senior managerial position that demands a positive, participatory, and responsible approach towards the company and your role within it.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Process Management Oversee the entire sales process, from initial request to safari completion. Ensure accurate invoicing and maintain client communication post-trip.
- Team Leadership Supervise and evaluate the sales team, allocate tasks, and implement training strategies. Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment.
- Reporting and Communication: Produce weekly and monthly reports. Ensure smooth handover processes between sales, reservations, and operations departments.
- Quotation and Content Management: Create and update content for quotations, make safari quotations, and meet VIP guests. Ensure proficiency in quotation tools and operational processes.
- Supplier and Contract Management: Negotiate supplier contracts, maintain contract files, and inform the sales team about promotions and specials.
- Support and Coordination: Assist Reservation and Operations Managers with relevant information for bookings and execution. Facilitate effective teamwork and communication among departments.
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years of management experience in sales and marketing within the safari travel industry.
- Proven leadership with the ability to motivate and manage a sales team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are advantageous.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a track record of meeting sales targets.
- High attention to detail, organisational skills, and passion for travel.
- In-depth knowledge of Tanzania safari destinations, seasonality, products, and services.
- Proficiency in sales and tourism systems such as WETU and tour operator software.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in travel and tourism, business, or marketing.
- Understanding of IT and sales funnels.
- Ability to work from the company office in Arusha and manage a mixed office/remote team.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
