School Accountant at Living Minds Pre & Primary School, Dar es Salaam – November 2025

Position: School Accountant-1 Post

Location: Living Minds Pre & Primary School, Goba Center, Mwembe Madole Road, Ubungo District, Dar es Salaam

Role Overview
The School Accountant will be responsible for managing all financial operations of the school, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role supports management in financial planning and decision-making while maintaining integrity and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
2. Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
3. Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow effectively.
4. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
5. Ensure compliance with Tanzanian tax laws and statutory deductions.
6. Manage payroll processing for all staff.
7. Monitor budgets and report variances to management.
8. Assist in preparing financial statements for audits.
9. Maintain proper filing and safekeeping of financial documents.
10. Provide financial insights to support management decisions.
11. Perform any other work-related duties assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements

– Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (mandatory).
– Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role.
– Certification: CPA qualification is an added advantage.
– Strong knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws and statutory deductions.
– High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
– Proficiency in English and Swahili (written and spoken).
– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
– Thorough understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
