Senior Accountant – Payables and Project Costing

Key Responsibilities

• Project cost tracking and analysis (materials, labor and overheads)
• Monitoring site-level expenses and cost allocations
• Work-in-progress (WIP) accounting and valuation
• Budget vs. actual analysis per project
• Coordination with Project Managers and QS (Quantity Surveyors)
• Job costing and profitability reporting per contract
• Supplier invoice processing and payment scheduling
• Maintain Account Payable Schedules and ensure vendors are paid as per agreed credit terms
• Process Payroll in coordination with HR Department
• Vendor Account Reconciliation
• Review staff claims and requests for allowances
• Review labour payment claims
• Aging analysis and reporting

Key Skills

• Proficient in using ERP/SAP
• Attention to details
• Presentation skills
• Computer Proficiency – Advanced user
• Excellent communication skills and team coordination

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Accountancy/Finance or related field
• Five (5) years working experience
• Experience in construction, engineering industries added advantage
• CPA(T) added advantage

Working Station: Dodoma & Elsewhere in Tanzania and Eastern Africa
