Job Purpose:
This role involves coordinating, strategizing, and ensuring seamless execution of bancassurance technology activities to drive business growth and enhance customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities:
Ensure there is a clear system requirement (technical) for all products/solutions.
Review and respond to detailed business requirements specifications to ensure alignment between bancassurance expectations and technology capability.
Provide accurate development effort estimates for solutions designed by vendors and internal development teams to assist project managers in project and resource planning.
Conduct technical impact analysis of proposed application changes and new system design requests.
Quality assurance that the work has been implemented by either external or internal developers is according to the technical design that was approved.
Provide detailed system specification document, map business requirements to optimal systems requirements; produce detailed functional/configuration designs/specifications and data architecture to match solution design specifications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to promote bancassurance products/services.
Analyze market trends and competitors activities to identify opportunities for business development.
Support the sales team by providing product knowledge, training, and marketing materials.
Monitor and assess the performance of bancassurance products, identifying areas for improvement.
Oversee the administrative aspects related to bancassurance operations, including documentation, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals.
Document application problems and areas of improvement by discussing and evaluating solutions, procedures and processes with the IT team.
Validate results by testing programs with the Innovation lab and product owners/solution owners.
Provide reference by writing documentation of all implemented products/solutions.
Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
Coordinate System training to bancassurance team, ICT Service desk, and respective second-level support ICT unit and Customer Experience.
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training and reconciliation process with the business unit, Innovation Lab, and Customer Experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience in leading teams as a technical lead.
A comprehensive knowledge on insurance claims, general insurance and life products
Greater understanding of product life cycle
Good interpersonal and networking skills
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in insurance business, or risk management
A Master’s Degree/Postgraduate in risk management and insurance business or business fields will be an added advantage
Any certification course or training in risk management and insurance business is an added advantage.
A minimum of 5 years of working experience in insurance business with a reputable company specifically in underwriting, claims and sales of insurance products.
