Job Purpose:

The Senior Logistics Officer will play a critical role in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations to support the company’s overall objectives. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end logistics process, including deliveries, inventory management, and supplier coordination, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to high standards of quality and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating logistics strategies to enhance operational efficiency and achieve company objectives.
  • Oversee and monitor logistics operations, including deliveries, inventory management, and supplier coordination, ensuring smooth processes, adherence to quality standards, and timely execution.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point and provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to Logistics Officers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Ensure accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of vehicle deliveries and share comprehensive reports.
  • Coordinate and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly plans with the GPS department and other relevant teams.
  • Maintain precise records by chassis number for vehicles that are ready and not ready for delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) and assembly-related issues, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Lead operations during emergencies or in the absence of the Logistics Supervisor to maintain operational continuity.
  • Partner with various departments to align logistics activities with broader organizational goals.
  • Initiate and lead process improvement efforts within the logistics department, and support the creation and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Performing any other relevant activity assigned from time to time

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Proven experience in logistics management or related fields.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
