About This Opportunity

Ericsson is looking for Service Line Cluster MSIT for Customer Unit Central and East Africa (CEA) as key role responsible for BOS Service Delivery and Business Farming. This role will be reporting to the Head of CU CEA Business and Operational Systems (BOS) Market Area Middle East and Africa.

The role is opened in Tanzania, but final location will be assessed for certain countries within CU CEA responsibility as well.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will be working specific to one of the CU clusters as a driver for MSIT delivery service but also to promote and support all BSS and OSS Delivery but also business farming, ensuring excellence in line with the best practices, quality mandates and profitability targets and securing best customer experience. You will be working closely with the MsCOO, MSIP, HoSD (Head of Service Deliveries), DSM and Account. Act as a single point of contact for your specific cluster within the CU related to BOS area. You will orchestrate within SL BOS the fulfillment and delivery of all projects, ADM, and MS IT operations from within own unit and in partnership with the Scale and Skills from the BOS Delivery Excellence units and Service Delivery Units (SDU) according to the designed delivery model with full adherence to process, tools, and methods.

The role responsibilities are:

  • Single Point of Accountability/Escalation for the Customer Unit for BOS cluster MSIT Delivery measured on Orders, Revenue, and Profitability Targets across commodities within Solution Line BOS.
  • Senior People Manager leading a direct team of Delivery team and Operations professionals focused on assigned Customer Unit Cluster. KPIs: Voice Score with emphases on overall Satisfaction and Manager scores.
  • Set Individual Performance and Development goals for team members in the unit with regular check-ins.
  • Cost Center Responsible with accountability to meet assigned over-Absorption target and the Utilization/Billability of the Unit in line with Organizational U/B target.
  • Responsible for the delivery of services (scope, cost, quality, and time) within BOS delivery phase.
  • Leading project and program activities in the analysis, planning, establishment, realization, handover, and conclusion phases. This also includes responsibility in supporting MSCOO(s) for any outsourced IT operations within the CU.
  • Ensure Project and MSIT and ADM Execution Excellence with adherence to Service Delivery Tools, Process and Methods including Asset re-use, Delivery Model, TGx process approval, financial Hygiene, disciplined Change Control, and managing overall Governance while promoting a Knowledge Sharing culture.
  • Services Profitability Improvement Focus through cost control, quality adherence, and Automation
  • Responsible to support Financial and Demand Forecast/Landing: Resource Demand/Fulfillment Forecast, Financial Forecast (Quarter and yearly) in alignment with the CU BOS Head, Quarterly Financial Landing in alignment with CU Cluster.
  • Live Node Activity (LNA) Adherence and meet assigned LNA KPIs (if Any); represent CU BOS Head in your respective cluster specific to all CCB approval.
  • Instill a culture for add on sales and customer value maximization in support of Account Managers and Domain Sales Support Managers from a solution & delivery perspective.
  • A champion for Compliance and the application of the Detailed Application Guidelines (DAG).
  • Works closely with the delivery excellence teams in the Service Line to fulfill Projects Delivery and on resolving the technical related issues and escalations.
  • Works closely with the Business Development & Portfolio to represent interests of own unit and the CU cluster and instill a one team culture across the matrix on all aspects of pre-sale, solutioning, cost effective delivery model planning, and BOS Strategic initiatives.

You will bring!

  • 8-10+ years of experience within Telecommunications/Systems Integration, ADM and/or Operations Industry driving sophisticated programs and managed operations with a strong delivery track record to deliver on customer commitments and value as well as meeting the internal financial commitments.
  • Progressive and strong personal track record with minimum 5 years of leadership experience in Managing Delivery and Operations.
  • University degree in ICT/Engineering. Graduate degree such as an MBA is considered a plus.
  • Strong People Manager track record leading Senior Team members and leading Leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience leading in a cross-functional highly matrixed and globally distributed teams including program directors, project managers, solution architects, integration engineers, and operations professionals according to the defined delivery and operational model.
  • Good mentor and coaching experience to own and matrixed organization to support in them in their professional growth groom future talent.
  • Certifications are a plus: PMP, Program Director certification, TOGAF, ITIL, ADM/MS management.
  • knowledge of different SDLC methodologies including Agile
  • Good knowledge in Business and Operations Systems portfolio.
  • Understanding of OEM/Vendor Services’ related processes toward customers including tendering and contract management.

  • Good consultative, presentation, and communication skills
  • Proven track record to deliver results with the ability to lead in taking a logical approach to analyzing problems, prioritizing work, and planning actions within a time sensitive and high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at the senior level; must have outstanding communication skills to influence others and meet deadlines while building positive relationships both internally and externally.
  • Good knowledge of running Organizational and Program level Governance with hands-on experience of Program Management tools.
  • Fluent in English
