SHIFT SUPERVISOR
INDUSTRY: FMCG
HR World Ltd, on behalf of our client, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Shift Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing production operations, supervising employees, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and maintaining discipline during assigned shifts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct physical attendance checks of employees, address absenteeism, and verify attendance registers as per management guidelines.
• Ensure all shift employees are present at their workstations at all times.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of employees engaged in the production process.
• Conduct regular rounds in all sections to ensure machines and equipment are operating efficiently.
• Oversee maintenance employees to confirm execution of tasks as instructed by their respective HODs.
• Supervise external sewage and drainage system checks.
• Assign housekeeping duties as required and ensure proper housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Ensure chemical dosing is done correctly, dosing pumps and equipment is functioning, and the system is achieving desired results.
• Check quality parameters of each reel manufactured once offloaded from the pope reeler and take corrective action where necessary.
• Enforce discipline and work ethics as per company guidelines.
• Report to HRM any cases of indiscipline, misconduct, or occupational accidents.
• Ensure immediate attention to machine breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Monitor fresh water, backwater management, and lagoon operations.
• Submit a written shift report to the HOD at the end of each shift.
• Safeguard company properties and ensure safety measures are adhered to.
• Properly hand over shifts to the relieving Shift Supervisor with updated shift logbook.
• Perform any other duty as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory role within manufacturing/production.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment operation, and maintenance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to enforce discipline, manage teams, and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• High integrity and commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
