Tanzania Women Chamber of Commerce (TWCC) is an apex organization uniting sectorial business women associations, companies, cooperatives, groups, and sole proprietors. Established in December 2005, it advocates, lobbies, and networks for the growth of women-owned businesses.

  • TWCC serves over 20,000 members with an annual outreach of more than 1 million through 26 regional chapters, 2 chapters in Zanzibar, 15 women’s sectorial associations, and companies owned by women.
  • It supports growth, sustainability, and competitiveness of women entrepreneurs across all sectors, including informal enterprises.
  • Services include lobbying and advocacy, capacity building through training and mentorship, financial linkages, market facilitation, and networking.
  • TWCC collaborates with government, private sector, civil society, and development partners.
  • To mark its 20th anniversary, TWCC seeks a consultant to coordinate a three-month journey culminating in February 2026.

TWCC invites experienced and qualified consultants to submit their EOI to plan, coordinate, and execute the 20th anniversary celebrations. The consultant will be responsible for:

  • Planning and implementing a 3-month anniversary journey (November 2025–February 2026).
  • Coordinating key activities, including launch campaigns, social media milestone campaigns, country tour, marathon event, fundraising and gala dinner, production and 30-day airing of a documentary, and the official celebration in February 2026.

The consultant will work closely with TWCC management, teams, sponsors, media, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality execution.

Scope of Work

The consultant is expected to:

  1. Planning & Coordination
    • Develop a detailed 3-month activity plan and calendar for the anniversary journey.
    • Liaise with TWCC teams, sponsors, media houses, and stakeholders.
    • Ensure risk management and mitigation for all activities.
  2. Event Management
    • Oversee logistics for all activities: venues, catering, transport, equipment, and virtual platforms.
    • Manage participant registration, confirmations, and communications.
    • Supervise implementation of all events, including the marathon, gala dinner, country tour, and climax celebration.
  3. Content Development & Media
    • Oversee production of a documentary showcasing TWCC’s 20-year journey.
    • Coordinate 30-day consecutive airing on TV.
    • Develop promotional materials, social media campaigns, press releases, and event collaterals.
  4. Monitoring & Reporting
    • Provide weekly/monthly progress updates to TWCC management.
    • Collect and analyze participant and stakeholder feedback.
    • Prepare a final evaluation report summarizing outcomes, media coverage, lessons learned, and recommendations.

Deliverables

  1. Comprehensive 3-month work plan and activity calendar.
  2. Detailed program plans for all activities: country tour, marathon, documentary, gala dinner, and climax event.
  3. Confirmed list of participants, speakers, sponsors, and media partners.
  4. Reports on logistics, communications, and promotions.
  5. Final documentary ready for broadcast on TVs.
  6. Final evaluation report, including media coverage and lessons learned.

Page 3: Merits, Qualifications, and Supervision

Merits and Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Project Management, Media, Communications, or related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in planning and coordinating large-scale events and media productions.
  • Proven expertise in stakeholder engagement, sponsorship management, and media communications.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and reporting skills.
  • Knowledge of women entrepreneurship and private sector development is an advantage.

Supervision

  • The consultant will report to the TWCC Executive Director and work closely with designated TWCC officers.
  • TWCC will oversee the quality of services and ensure milestones are achieved as per agreed plans.

Payment and Remuneration

  • Remuneration terms will be negotiated based on the scope of work.
  • TWCC may directly contract the consultant or facilitate member-based contracts depending on the activity.
  • Cost-free proposals from service providers are also welcome.
