Role Purpose
The key purpose of this role is to ensure the effective implementation and upholding of AB InBev safety standards while overseeing all warehouse inventory and operations.
The Supervisor is directly responsible for managing the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of goods. Your goal will be to optimize customer service levels and consistently achieve benchmarked productivity standards.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Safety, Quality, and Compliance
- Safety Standards: Drive awareness and compliance with all relevant safety blocks. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, including the correct wearing of designated PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
- Management Protocols: Ensure full implementation and adherence to VPO and DPO protocols.
- Housekeeping: Adhere to and maintain site housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with 5S standards within warehouse operations.
- Policy & SOPs: Cascade all global policies and ensure compliance. Continuously validate and ensure understanding of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) by all warehouse employees using management routines (SCL, OWD, etc.).
2. Inventory and Warehouse Management
- Stock Control: Implement and track ABC compliance to realize warehouse efficiencies. Ensure adherence to warehouse stock age standards by applying FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) for sales orders and LIFO (Last In, First Out) for inter-depot transfers.
- Damage Control: Control warehouse breakages and inventory losses and demonstrate continuous improvement in tracking these losses.
- Stock Counts: Supervise and sign off on accurate daily stock counts before and after each shift. Participate in effective shift handover processes.
- Quality Management: Ensure quality control by checking packaging prior to loading. Manage blocked stocks and ensure clear, daily updates are shared.
- Layout: Ensure adherence to the warehouse layout plan (empties zone, refusal zone, order picking zone, FG zone, etc.).
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with the Inventory Analyst/Clerk or Stocks and Settlement Officer.
3. Operational Execution
- Loading/Unloading: Ensure loading and unloading of products is executed per process, with all products accurately counted and delivery documents duly signed and issued. Utilize the Load Summary to ensure correct quantities are loaded.
- Production Handover: Supervise containers handed over to production and receive full beer from production, ensuring agreement on quantity and quality.
- Picking & Sorting: Ensure adherence to the standard picking process. Monitor and track adherence to sorting guidelines and targets. Create and monitor KPIs/PIs (Key Performance Indicators/Process Indicators) for picking and sorting per man-hour.
- Cost Control: Monitor fuel usage standards, reduce idling time, and eliminate breakages/missing bottles by following safe driving principles.
- Reporting: Ensure accurate completion and on-time submission of pre-trip inspection forms, fuel records, stock count sheets, and DPO-related reports.
4. Continuous Improvement & People Leadership
- Problem Solving: Utilize problem-solving tools (5Why, Abnormality Reports, SIC, OPL’s, PDCA’s, etc.) to develop action plans and improve PI’s and KPI’s.
- Performance Management: Cascade KPI’s and PI’s to individual employees, monitor individual results, and conduct Monthly One-on-Ones in line with the target review process.
- Talent Development: Perform 180 reviews, address poor performance using improvement plans or disciplinary hearings, and participate in the recruitment and pipeline building of talent.
- Engagement: Follow up on Engagement Survey results with clear actions to correct areas of concern.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: 3-year relevant Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics.
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of Warehouse and/or Logistics experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Highly level computer user (MS Office, Oasis, Handheld devices), with strong proficiency in SAP.
