Strengthening Tanzania’s public health supply chain and pharmaceutical services by:

  • Building local capacity to manage supply chains for health commodities.
  • Strengthening pharmaceutical management systems and national regulatory frameworks.

Role Overview

The officer will provide technical support in logistics data management, analysis, and reporting to improve supply chain performance in Zanzibar. Key collaborations include CMS, ZHMTs, CPO, and health facilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Implement supply chain work plans aligned with Ministry of Health strategies.
  • Improve data quality and use from eLMIS, mSupply, and other systems.
  • Use performance data for facility-level supervision and problem-solving.
  • Compile, analyze, and disseminate logistics reports.
  • Monitor stock levels and report risks of stock-outs/overstocks.
  • Identify staff training needs and support capacity-building initiatives.
  • Participate in technical working groups and forums.
  • Prepare high-quality logistics and technical reports.

Qualifications

  • Tanzanian nationals or lawful residents eligible to work in Tanzania.
  • Bachelor’s in Information Systems, Health Management, Pharmacy, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, data management, or supply chain.
  • Familiarity with Zanzibar health system, CMS, ZHMTs, and health facility operations preferred.
  • Proficient in eLMIS, mSupply, or similar systems.
  • Strong data analysis, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Fluency in Kiswahili and English.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Zanzibar and occasionally to Mainland Tanzania.
