Detailed Job Descriptions
1. Socio-Enterprise Manager
-
Purpose: Lead income-generating initiatives, specifically the Seaweed Program and the Reusable Sanitary Pads (SRH) Project, ensuring financial sustainability and social impact.

Key Responsibilities:
-
Implement socio-enterprise models and scale income-generating activities.
-
Develop market linkages, branding, and quality certifications.
-
Monitor program budgets, revenue, and profitability.
-
Train community groups in entrepreneurship and quality assurance.
-

Qualifications: * Master’s degree in Business, Social Enterprise, Development, or Marine Science.
-
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in SME development or social enterprise.

2. Technical Programs Manager (TPM)
-
Purpose: Provide strategic leadership for programs focusing on Nutrition, Reproductive Health, and Socioeconomic Development, integrating climate resilience and digitalization.
-
Key Responsibilities:
-
Develop strategic plans and budgets aligned with ZMBF’s focus areas.
-
Lead grant proposal writing and high-quality program design.
-
Advocate for community-driven solutions in national and regional forums.
-
Mentor the program team and build capacity for local partners.
-

Qualifications: * Master’s degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Development Studies, or related field.
-
3–5 years of experience in program management (Blue Economy experience preferred).

3. Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer
-
Purpose: Ensure project decisions are evidence-driven through accurate data collection and performance tracking.
-
Key Responsibilities:
-
Develop and implement project monitoring tools and databases.
-
Conduct site visits to verify seaweed production and beneficiary participation data.
-
Produce monthly/quarterly reports with data visualizations.
-
Document success stories and facilitate learning sessions.
-

Qualifications: * Degree/Diploma in Statistics, M&E, or Social Sciences.
-
2–3 years experience using tools like MS Excel, KoboCollect, or ODK.

4. Communication Officer
-
Purpose: Enhance visibility and showcase project impact through high-quality internal and external messaging.
-
Key Responsibilities:
-
Lead storytelling initiatives (human-interest stories and case studies).
-
Manage social media platforms (FB, IG, X, LinkedIn) and web content.
-
Capture/edit multimedia content (photography and videography).
-
Liaise with media houses and manage PR for public events.
-

Qualifications: * Degree/Diploma in Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations.

2–3 years experience; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or Final Cut.

5. Procurement Officer
-
Purpose: Manage cost-effective and compliant acquisition of goods, works, and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs, and tender documents.
-
Conduct market surveys and evaluate supplier bids.
-
Maintain vendor databases and manage contract timelines.
-
Ensure compliance with ZMBF and donor (USAID, EU, etc.) regulations.

Qualifications: * Degree/Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or Finance.

2–3 years experience; membership in professional bodies (PSPTB/CIPS) is a plus.
