Job Vacancy: Caregiver Assistant
BRAC Enterprises Tanzania Limited (BETL) is hiring for three Caregiver Assistant positions in Dar es Salaam. The role involves providing nurturing care and support to children, supervising them during activities, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and assisting with meals and other basic tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing care for children aged three to five.
- Following lesson plans provided by the Head Caregiver.
- Effectively managing the classroom to facilitate play-based learning activities that promote the physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development of each child.
- Encouraging student participation and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Adapting programs and teaching methods to fit the individual needs of children.
- Ensuring children learn positive behaviors and providing guidance as needed.
- Preparing children for pre-primary education.
- Giving updates to parents on their children’s behavior and progress.
- Supervising children both in and out of the classroom to ensure their safety.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: A certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECD) is required. Candidates who have completed their training in Montessori and Social Welfare Institute are highly considered.
- Skills: The ideal candidate will have soft skills such as teamwork, communication, and flexibility. They should also demonstrate patience, compassion, strong organizational skills, and the ability to think and act quickly in a crisis. The role also requires knowledge of basic first aid and emergency procedures.
