( General Ledger Accountant (GLA)
Reporting to: Country Finance Manager
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Wananchi Group Tanzania (SimbaNET & WCT) a Regional Company which provides Internet, Data, Broadcasting and Multimedia Communication Solutions.
We are currently seeking an experienced, professional General Ledger Accountant (GLA) who is highly competent, self-motivated, with a passion for adding value and professional for both entities. He/She will be reporting to Country Finance Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
General Ledger Maintenance Month-End and Year-End Financial Reporting Function
Account Reconciliation and Analysis Compliance and Audit Support Internal Controls
Cross-Department Collaboration

Requirements and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
Experience: At least 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably with a focus on general ledger or financial reporting.
Certification: CPA T, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting certification preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g, SAP, QuickBooks or Oracle) and MS Excel.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of Tanzania financial regulations and International
financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
