Job Opportunity: Logistics Manager

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize all aspects of our logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing transportation, warehousing, and inventory processes, as well as ensuring compliance with all clearing and forwarding regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Manage clearing and forwarding activities to ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
• Negotiate with transporters and service providers to achieve cost efficiency and timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on shipments, delivery schedules, and inventory levels.
• Supervise and support logistics staff to ensure high performance and teamwork.
• Implement best practices to improve operational efficiency and reduce logistics costs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in logistics management.
• Strong knowledge of clearing and forwarding procedures.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
