Main Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership and Department Management

  • Participate in developing the strategy and departmental guidelines for the Tanzanian operation in coordination with the Head, Airtel Money RA&FM.
  • Develop resources, including structure, staffing operations, Managers, and Analysts.
  • Select and implement solutions for Airtel Money Revenue Assurance (RA) and Fraud Management (FM).
  • Develop the policy, procedure, and process framework for Airtel Money RA & FM.
  • Provide guidance on solving RA & FM operational problems and ensure a root cause analysis is performed for all KPIs beyond admissible parameters.
  • Drive process efficiency and effectively run the Airtel Money RA department.

2. Revenue Leakage Prevention & Billing Integrity

  • Establish, implement, and manage policies and procedures for periodic reconciliation of revenue streams.
    • This includes customer acquisition/retention, order entry, usage, invoicing, and switch-to-bill reconciliation.
  • Perform periodic reconciliation of reciprocal compensation revenue (roaming and Interconnect).
  • Identify issues and areas of potential revenue leakage and exposure.
  • Determine root causes and design/recommend changes to operational business processes and systems to minimize risk and exposure.

3. Product Assurance and Change Management

  • Establish and implement policies, procedures, and approaches to effectively partner with system departments and the change management function.
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) testing on key processes and system changes that impact the recording, processing, and billing of revenue-producing events.

4. Monitoring, Reporting, and Tool Optimization

  • Monitor, review, and take corrective actions based on observations made by consultants, auditors, or internal/external reviews on control weaknesses.
  • Establish and improve the proper utilization of the Airtel Money RA tool.
  • Build team knowledge about Airtel Money RA in respective areas (Carrier, Processes, Technical & IT, and Fraud).
  • Provide reports to senior management outlining progress, quantified benefits, and future exposures using the Airtel Money Revenue Assurance & Fraud Monthly Package.

🎓 Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualifications & Technical Skills

  • Required: Degree in IT, Computer Science, or any other related field.
  • Preferred: Postgraduate in Data systems & Analysis.
  • Advantage: Professional qualification in System Auditing (CISA).
  • Technical:
    • Proficient in querying a large amount of data using SQL queries.
    • In-depth knowledge of GSM Networks, IN, and IT Billing & Provisioning Systems.
    • Good understanding of data models and various IT platforms/solutions.

Relevant Experience

  • Experience: Minimum 12 years working experience in a related field.
  • Industry: Experience must be from Telecoms, Fintech, or Banking Industries.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, technical, and reporting skills.
