Job Opportunity: Sales Manager – Lubricants

Our client is one of the largest conglomerates in Tanzania, operating across Africa and Asia and manufacturing Automotive and Industrial Lubricants. As part of its expansion in Tanzania, the company is seeking a Sales Manager to lead and grow the lubricants business. The role focuses on driving large-scale corporate and institutional sales, expanding market reach, and building strong distribution and key account networks. The ideal candidate will be a commercially driven leader with strong B2B and channel sales experience and a proven ability to scale markets.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate and channel sales strategy for Automotive & Industrial Lubricants.

  • Identify and penetrate large corporate accounts.

  • Build, manage, and expand distributor and dealer networks.

  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing structures, and long-term supply agreements.

  • Oversee sales operations, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.

  • Strengthen brand positioning and visibility across all target market segments.

  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and emerging opportunities.

  • Collaborate with technical, supply chain, and marketing teams to ensure customer satisfaction.


Skills & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 4 to 7 years’ experience in corporate B2B sales, preferably in lubricants, automotive, industrial, or oil & gas.

  • Account Management: Proven experience managing large corporate accounts and multi-channel sales.

  • Market Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Tanzania’s corporate, industrial, and institutional markets.

  • Strategic Growth: Experience in strategic business development and market expansion.

  • Sales Excellence: Expertise in corporate selling, tendering, and contract management.

  • Leadership: Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Business Acumen: Commercial acumen with data-driven decision-making and the ability to operate at executive and board-level discussions.
