FINANCE MANAGER
COMPANY: LESSO AFRICA
POSITION: FINANCE MANAGER, SALES ASSIST & TAXATION OFFICER-Location: Dar es salaam
Lesso Africa, we are looking for a highly experienced and driven Finance Manager who will oversee all aspects of financial operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will lead the finance team, implement strong financial controls, and provide strategic financial insights to support the company objectives.
- FINANCE MANAGER-RESPONSIBILITIES;
- Develop, maintain, and oversee accounting policies, financial systems, and internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable, receivables, payroll, bank reconciliations, and statutory payments.
- Prepare financial management reports, financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and cash flow reports.
- Conduct financial analysis to support contract negotiations, capital investments, pricing decisions, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor financial risks, propose cost-reduction opportunities, and implement continuous performance improvements.
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, tax requirements, and coordinate external audits.
- Manage relationships with auditors, financial institutions, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and continuous professional growth.
- Oversee budgetary controls, analyze variances, and report significant findings to management.
- Maintain data integrity across all financial reports and ensure timely submission of required financial documentation.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and insights to the management team to support business objectives.
- Ensure flexibility in managing multiple priorities while adapting to organizational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS;
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as CPA or equivalent certification will add an andvantage.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in financial management, preferably in the retail.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial/accounting software systems.
- Strong knowledge of local financial legislation, tax compliance, and audit processes.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and mentorship skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and problem-solving skills.
- TAXATION OFFICER
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working as a tax accountant provides hands-on experience in preparing tax returns, understanding tax laws, and advising clients on tax matters.
- Other task assigned by your superior.
SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- Diploma/Bachelor degree in custom and tax management or bachelor of science in taxation
- Taxation requires the ability to analyze financial data, interpret tax laws, and assess tax implications.
- Effective communication is essential for explaining complex tax concepts to clients or colleagues.
- Tax professionals need to be able to identify and solve tax-related problems.
- Taxation involves a high degree of trust and ethical responsibility, so integrity and ethical conduct are crucial.
- Experience in roles where tax knowledge is crucial, such as in accounting or finance departments of businesses, can also be beneficial.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in Taxation.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and mentorship skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and problem-solving skills.
- SALES ASSIST
Qualifications
- Degree/diploma/certificate in marketing or related field.
2.Good in communication.
- Minimum 2-5yrs of experience in sales.
- Computer Skills
SALES ASSIST WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:-
- Recommending products or merchandise to help customers
- Answering questions and addressing concerns
- Informing customers about sales, promotions and policies
- Demonstrating how products work
- Taking payments for purchases and packaging purchases
- Stocking merchandise and creating displays
- Taking inventory and monitoring sales floor
