Job Summary:
The Retail Actuarial Analyst at Jubilee Health Insurance is responsible for supporting actuarial analyses, contributing to product pricing and development, and ensuring alignment with regulatory standards. This role involves conducting detailed data analysis, assisting in the development and maintenance of pricing models, and supporting product innovation initiatives under supervision. The Analyst works closely with both internal teams—such as Product Development, Finance, and Sales—and external stakeholders to ensure that pricing strategies and product offerings align with Jubilee Health Insurance’s mission of delivering affordable, accessible, and reliable health insurance solutions in Tanzania. This position plays a critical role in enhancing data-driven decision-making and promoting customer-centric product solutions in the retail health insurance space.

Qualifications and Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine actuarial analyses, including data preparation for pricing, reserving, and risk assessments.

  • Assist in developing and validating pricing models, ensuring alignment with actuarial standards and risk profiles.

  • Analyze actuarial data, such as claims experience, healthcare costs, and demographic trends, to support pricing and product development.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as loss ratios, pricing accuracy, and product performance metrics.

  • Assist in preparing actuarial reports, pricing documentation, and regulatory filings for submission to the Insurance Regulatory Authority.

  • Maintain accurate records of actuarial analyses, pricing assumptions, and product development activities to support audits and compliance needs.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field from a recognized university.

  • Diploma in Actuarial Science or Insurance from a recognized institution (e.g., Tanzania School of Insurance) is highly preferred.
