The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) was established by Act of Parliament No. 11 of 1995, and started its operations on 1st July 1996. In carrying out its statutory functions, TRA is regulated by law, and is responsible for administering impartially various taxes of the Central Government.
TRA core values are a handful of moral boundaries within which TRA operates. They define TRA’s personality and are ethical standards by which TRA would be measured. The values are a commitment to the stakeholders and are incorporated into all actions taken by the organization.

Note:
Selected candidates (SELECTED) to proceed with interview are required to consider the time and place of the interview as specified in the call to the interview.
NB: (i) For all cadres who will be interviewing in Zanzibar, the interview will be held at the Maruhubi Tourism College – Unguja, Zanzibar
(ii) For the cadres of TAX MANAGEMENT OFFICER II, CUSTOMS OFFICER II, TAX MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT II, CUSTOMS ASSISTANT II and RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT II to conduct interviews in Dodoma, the interview is scheduled to take place 'LECTURE ROOMS' of 'COLLEGE OF SOCIAL SCIENCE' at the University. Dodoma (UDOM)(iii) For other Cadres they interviews will be conducte3d as it was directed in the Preliminary Call for interview Announcement
